They argued that this will increase crop yields, eliminate the need for constant snow removal or excess water drainage among other benefits. However, subsequent research and surveys revealed that ordinary people prefer the natural cycle of the seasons. Being in the same climate all the time negatively affected both mood and productivity. Moreover, maintaining consistent climate parameters would require significantly more energy, forcing compromises in maneuverability, flight speed, or even productio — like the beloved pastries of the city's residents. The council wasn't ready to make such sacrifices, so the citizens of the Floating City still enjoy each new season, be it winter, spring, summer, or autumn.
